job job job job job :)
It's taken a little while for it to sink in, and classes are out for the summer, but I GOT A TEACHING JOB. AT A MONTESSORI SCHOOL. WOOOOO!
Anticipation and anxiety storm away. I know I can do it, but it is so much. First years are always hard, as are new jobs. Hopefully, this blog will be a great release from the pressures and worries and give me clarity about my development.
I'm debating what and how much to blog about concerning classroom life. Advice?

Give us all your juicy stories. That's why we read these things. You could change names to protect the "innocent".
Hi, I came across your blog while doing some research on Montessori Schools. I'm thinking about taking the training...
Anyway, ALWAYS change pertinent info in a blog about school/teaching life. I blog about subbing mostly to vent, but I've made sure that there are no identifying remarks posted. Also, I try not to write anything that would ever endanger my job (or hurt too many feelings) just in case I should ever be "discovered". :D
I usually change the dates on my posts (I'll say "yesterday" when the even actually happened last week, for example), but I don't think that I'd be too concerned about changing class sizes and details of that ilk. Even though Montessori is a MUCH smaller community than public schools, what are the odds that someone will read your blog and go through all the detective work to figure out who you really are? Having said that, I NEVER use any names at all. I use initials, or just say "a student". Just have fun. If worry about the blog is causing more stress than it's relieving, then it may not be worth it.
PS> I was Magpie Chick, but I've changed my name.
Doh! Well, apparently Blogger didn't play along with the whole name-change thing.
